Community Development Organization (CDO) is a non-Governmental and non-profit making organization registered under Voluntary Social Welfare Act 1961 (Reg. No.DSW/NWFP/1483). The organization has 19 years’ experience in designing, planning, and implementation of developmental and humanitarian projects in different parts of KP. Of the total experience CDO has 8 year experience in planning, delivering and monitoring community level trainings particularly enhancing andstrengthening capacity of Parents-Teachers Councils (PTCs) in education sector (the detail is listed below under the para of institutional capacity).CDO since its establishment in 1997 and formal registration in 1999 works with poor and marginalized segments of community. Its aim is achieved with the close collaboration of partner communities and development organizations through a participatory, demand responsive, gender and poverty sensitive integrated development approach in the Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa Province. CDO interventions mainly focus on achievements in domains/program areas including, Education, Capacity building,Micro Credit, Primary/Reproductive Health Care, Agriculture and farmers rights, Women Development, Human Rights, Livelihood, WASH, Shelter, NFIs and Political Awareness etc.
